billy sue textiles

i am so very jealous of the midwest states, which are currently experiencing gorgeous fall weather.

our average temp just dropped below 100.

so for those of you enjoying crisp cool air, this post is for you.

how lovely are these handwoven scarves by billy sue textiles? gorgeous! perfect for fall.

white and bright

i want to live here.

elisabeth of fine little day's studio is so gorgeous. it's airy and bright, spacious and immaculately decorated.

i love it!

skinny laminx (a trade!)

the lovely heather moore of skinny laminx graciously sent me a little something. i was so excited when this arrived in my mailbox, all the way from south africa! her packaging was lovely, and included a button and a sticker, two of my favorite things!

yours is in the mail as i post this heather. thanks so much, i love it!

these gorgeous textiles are created by an artist in australia.  she starts with inspiration from nature, paints on wood, and then, voila!  textiles are born!

they are ever so lovely.  check them out here.

shop update!

i was inspired to do a little embroidery this weekend (thanks heather!) and this is what i came up with:

i also made a new fall stamp.

get your goodies here.

textile earrings

much like columbus "discovered" america, i have discovered a new genre of jewelry: textile earrings.  where have i been? they're all so gorgeous!

these beauties are by one of my favorite jewelry designers, star of the east.

gorgeous colors on these pretty vintage lace earrings from modesign.

love the shape of these teardrops by maria cavallero

these hoops by christine kangas are perfect for fall.

a way with words

someday i want a little nook decorated just like sweet paul did in a recent article for country living, about using the written word in craft.  gorgeous.  want that globe. badly.
